To prevent scalding, please make sure your plumber has added a temperature mixing control valve at the sink or shower so the maximum water temperature is only 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Do not adjust the source water heater to 120 degrees F as that is not adequate to sanitize water against to formation of bacteria that causes Legionnaire’s disease
