Adjustable Sink

 

 

This sink is able to be raised to a standard counter height of 36 inches to allow for work in a standing position and lowered for a wheelchair users or anyone who uses the sink in a seated position. The ability to adjust the height of the sink provides a custom fit to meet individual needs and desires for the whole household  when preparing meals and cleaning up. The sink has a safety sensor that will stop if a user or an object is in its way.

Use of the device 

A user with Multiple Sclerosis may have may physically be able to stand but may wish to conserve energy and wash dishes is a seated position.

Permanent renovation to kitchen.

 Cost 

Mechanisms can vary in cost. Any permanent renovation could be a significant investment but can increase independence.
