Nav Trackers

For further information  click “Here!”

Description of the Device

Controlling computers can be complicated if mobility is limited. A head tracking system like the SmartNav or Eviacam system can allow a user complete control of the computer with head and neck movements. The nav tracker system uses reflective dots that can be attached to any type of eyewear or even to the forehead to suit any user’s needs.

The SmartNav requires a camera system mounted to the computer, but Eviacam and other free downloads use the already existing webcam to track a user’s head. SmartNav also requires a reflective dot tracker system to provide mouse control.

Both systems have what is called ‘dwell-clicking’ this eliminates the need for separate motions. With the system on a user ‘clicks’ by leaving the mouse on a particular item for a number of seconds, options are available for right click, and double click with the same system.
