Mice

For more information click “Here!”

Description of the Device

Many individuals find trackballs and other switches easier to control than a regular mouse that needs additional coordination. Instead of using fingers and the arm in fine precise movements, a user can move the trackball using a whole hand motion. Mice can be adapted so they are compatible with hand, foot, or even cheek switches. We have adapted the Trackball in the video for use with a switch. It is adapted the same simple way that we adapt toys in our tutorials. Click HERE to go to tutorials.

Temporary

If there are multiple users switches can be removed and trackball will function like a typical mouse.

Cost

Track ball mice range from $25-$40 and can be adapted with gross motor switches for under $5 more. See our tutorials on adapting toys and dollar switches or contact us for directions.

Support Needs (caregiver)
