Description of the Device

For users who have difficulty typing on traditional keyboards there are free on screen keyboards for windows that only require clicking. This can be done via a mouse, trackball, footswitch, eye tracker or other clicking system. The keyboard can also be used with a notation program and customized to meet the needs of an individual. Users with low vision can use keyboards with large print or with contrasting colors may make working on a computer much easier.

Cost

On screen keyboard programs are free for Mac and PC on the internet. High contrast and large print keyboard range from $20-$25 and are available from a variety of sources

Support Needs

May require simple set-up by caregiver or Occupational Therapy Professional.
